Privacy Policy — SoundBudget
Summary
SoundBudget is designed so that app data stays on your devices. No account is required. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and no user-account backend. Biutimi does not sell app data.
Apple Health
With your permission, SoundBudget only reads headphone and environmental sound-exposure data through HealthKit on iPhone and Apple Watch. It uses this data to create two separate budgets, history, and explanations.
The app does not write, modify, or delete health data in Apple Health and does not send it to a Biutimi server. You can change permission at any time in Apple Health settings.
Data Stored on Your Device
The iPhone app locally remembers whether you completed setup and keeps the latest calculated summary in a local App Group for Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. The Apple Watch app keeps its latest calculated summary in a separate local App Group for complications and Smart Stack.
Each summary contains only:
- dose percentage;
- recorded duration;
- measurement coverage;
- availability state;
- update time.
Raw Apple Health samples are not stored in either cache.
You can remove app data by deleting SoundBudget from your devices. Health records stored by Apple are not affected.
Widgets and Background Updates
The iPhone and Apple Watch apps may use HealthKit observer queries and background delivery so the system can wake them after relevant measurements change and refresh the local summary. The Home Screen, Lock Screen, complication, and Smart Stack WidgetKit extensions display these locally prepared summaries and do not request Apple Health access themselves.
iOS, watchOS, and WidgetKit control update timing, so an update is not guaranteed to be immediate. Widgets show when their summary was updated where space permits and mark it as outdated after six hours. They are not live sound monitors.
Network, Analytics, and Tracking
SoundBudget does not send app data to a Biutimi server and contains no:
- advertising;
- analytics;
- cross-app tracking;
- Biutimi cloud sync;
- account system.
If you voluntarily open a web link or email support, further processing is performed by the selected browser, email service, or destination under its own terms.
Health and Safety
Results depend on the availability and accuracy of measurements recorded by Apple devices. Missing measurements are not treated as quiet time.
SoundBudget is not a medical device, does not diagnose conditions, and is not a substitute for professional hearing care.
Children
SoundBudget is not specifically directed to children. Biutimi does not knowingly collect children's personal data through the app.
Changes
We may update this policy if app behavior or legal requirements change. The last-updated date identifies the current version.
