Privacy Policy — TikiShelf
This policy describes how TikiShelf ("the app") handles information. TikiShelf stores your user-created content on your device by default. That content is uploaded only when you explicitly enable optional iCloud sync or choose to export or share it. A separate exchange-rate request is described below.

Data we do not collect
We do not operate a Biutimi server that stores your personal catalog, photos, recipes or similar app content. We do not sell your data.
Data on your device
Information you enter or import in TikiShelf is kept in the app's local storage on your iPhone or iPad, subject to Apple's platform security. You can remove it by deleting the app or using in-app export/delete features where provided.
App-specific notes
TikiShelf stores your home-bar inventory, bottle selections, settings, saved riffs, journal entries, ratings, notes and photos locally on your iPhone or iPad by default.
If you enable optional iCloud sync, TikiShelf uploads a private backup containing those items to your iCloud account and uses it to synchronize your Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Biutimi does not receive your iCloud credentials, cannot access the private backup and does not store it on Biutimi servers.
Turning off iCloud sync stops future synchronization but does not by itself remove a backup already stored in iCloud. To remove it, use Delete iCloud backup in TikiShelf under Settings > Backup. That action turns off sync, permanently deletes TikiShelf’s current private iCloud backup and leaves data on the device unchanged. Otherwise, the backup remains in your private iCloud account until it is replaced or deleted, subject to Apple’s iCloud terms.
While iCloud sync is on, changes and deletions to synchronized app data are also saved to the private iCloud backup and can appear on your other devices. TikiShelf warns about this before clearing bar, journal, photo or saved-riff data.
When currency rates are due for refresh or you refresh them manually, TikiShelf contacts the public Frankfurter exchange-rate service at api.frankfurter.dev. The request does not include your home-bar inventory, journal, photos, saved riffs, prices or other user-created content. Frankfurter states that its API itself does not collect personal data, but that its public service runs behind Cloudflare, which collects basic information for analytics. This can include standard network metadata such as an IP address and request time. Biutimi does not receive that metadata and does not use the request for advertising or tracking. Frankfurter and Cloudflare handle information under their published privacy practices and applicable law.
Permissions
TikiShelf requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo for a journal entry. Selecting an existing image uses Apple’s system photo picker. TikiShelf does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone or advertising tracking.
Children
TikiShelf is not directed at children. Alcohol-related recipes and content are intended only for adults of legal drinking age in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
